In world dominashian news, Kim Kardashian has announced she plans to run for mayor of Glendale, California in five years. The bombshell announcement was made by Kim during an unaired bonus clip from from Sunday’s episode of Khloe & Lamar in which Kim and her sister Khloe are driving around Dallas and pass the Ross Perot Museum, which, of course, sparks political discourse between the two.
“I decided I’m going to run for the mayor of Glendale,” Kim says casually.
Khloe seems amused by the statement and points out, “I’m going to be the mayor of Dallas, mom said.”
But Kim continues on, and it becomes clear pretty quick that she’s serious. “You have to have full residency in Glendale,” Kim points out. “So Noelle’s going to head my campaign. It’s going to be in, like, five years.” At this point Khloe screams at another driver not letting her over.
“So, Noelle and I are, like, looking into all the requirements, and I’m literally going to have a huge – she’s going to help me with my campaign,” Kim continues after the outburst.
“That’s so cool!” Khloe says.
“Because it’s like Armenian Town,” Kim says.
E! News reached out to Glendale City Councilman Rafi Manoukian, who seemed to like the idea. “I would support her,” he says. “I think she would make an excellent mayor.”
Another Glendale City Councilman (and former Glendale mayor), Ara Najarian, told E! News “it’s a great idea,” adding, “I have offered her the position of honorary chief of staff to my office to help her get acquainted to Glendale.” Najarian then pointed out that in order to become mayor of Glendale, Kim Kardashian would first need to run for city council because they choose their mayor from those elected to council. The Glendale mayoral term is one year, but Kim will probably bail after 72 days
Meanwhile, lost in all the shock and awe of Kim’s announcement is the other unbelievable fact revealed in the clip – Ross Perot has his own museum!
So what do you think? Would you vote for Kim Kardashian for mayor of your town?
