Bethenny’s shows is touted by Warner as a “no-nonsense perspective on everything from pop culture to current events to relationships.”
This January Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution President Ken Werner told The Hollywood Reporter that Bethenny was picked to be a relatable “girlfriend” for the female market:
A year ago we determined there was a need in the marketplace for a show that provided daytime women the opportunity to hang out with someone who understood their needs, desires and aspirations… a girlfriend.
That’s definitely the quality that got Bethenny her own spin-off from The Real Housewives of New York, sold numerous books, and helped her grow a clever cocktail idea into a $100 million multi-product empire. Why not give daytime television a shot too?
