VIDEO ‘Real Housewives’ Slade Smiley confronted by aggressive child support collector

Real Housewives of Orange County couple Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley were out last night at a red carpet event when all h-e-double-hockey-stick broke loose.

An as yet unidentified man, whom I will go ahead and label as the most aggressive bill collector this side of associates of Tony Soprano, came after Smiley hard core for money he allegedly owes in child support. In the clip dude approaches Rossi and Smiley as they’re trying to get in to their vehicle and berates Smiley over money he claims he’s been hired to collect.

Slade’s son Grayson was diagnosed with a brain tumor (Diffuse Fibrillary Astrocytoma) in 2006 just after turning six years old. Since that diagnosis he has endured 11 surgeries.

In the clip you can hear the collector yell out, “Pay your child support! Your son has cancer.” He then states that Slade owes Grayson’s mother, Michelle Arroyo, $160,000. Michelle spoke with TMZ and said the amount was actually closer to $130,000 but she agreed to drop that to $95,000 recently in court.

The collector then follows a guy who appears to be running security for Gretchen and Slade along with a seriously beefed up dude in a muscle shirt. There’s been no official comment from Slade’s rep but Smiley did respond to a follower on Twitter who asked how his son was doing:

Arroyo stated that Smiley currently pays her $775 a month.
