VIDEO Beyonce the puppy is a fierce survivor

After you get done saying, “AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!” lemme tell you about Beyonce the puppy. I’ll wait…

Okay, the adorable little pup you see above is just over two weeks old and has worked harder at making it than most of us ever will. Beyonce’s mommy, Casey, was a Dachshund mix that was abandoned by its owners. She was living on the streets of San Bernardino, Calif., when she was picked up by an area Animal Control.

Here’s a report:

Casey was pregnant and scheduled to be spayed and her puppies aborted but a vet determined she was too far along to end the pregnancy. So momma Casey was then scheduled to be euthanized along with her unborn puppies when some peeps with the Grace Foundation stepped in.

An ultrasound revealed that there were 5 little ones in there and one was substantially smaller than the others. Back on March 8th, Casey delivered and little, and I mean teeny-tiny little, Beyonce came out last. She was not breathing and someone actually managed to perform CPR on a puppy who was at the time a mere 4oz (the approximate weight of a golf ball). For a little comparison here is Beyonce at 2 weeks chilling on an iPhone:

Forget Angry Birds, I want the world’s most adorable puppy App! As of this post the good people with Grace are happy to report that Beyonce is a survivor and is, “thriving and normal in every way.” They estimate that momma Casey and all her cuties including little Beyonce will be available for adoption in 6 weeks or so.

I’ve got to go I think I got a little something in my eye, it happens on National Puppy Day…

Shame on Mama Casey’s owners for abandoning her! But so glad this story has a happy ending.

Very sweet and uplifting! So glad they all made it! One of my kittens I adopted was found in a shopping cart in a Home Depot parking lot in the rain. It’s so sad to hear about these poor little animals being abandoned but I love to see that some of them are lucky enough to be saved by good people!
