Chris Brown snatches fan’s cell phone in Miami Beach, may face felony robbery charges

Chris Brown Miami Beach February 2012

Singer Chris Brown let his temper and inflated sense of self-importance get the best of him again as he reportedly snatched a female fan’s cell phone after leaving a Miami Beach club early Sunday morning, telling her, “B!tch, you ain’t going to put that on no website.”

According to the Miami Beach police incident report, Crhis Brown and rapper Tyga were leaving Cameo nightclub on Miami Beach on February 19 when 24-year-old fan Christal Spann followed them out and snapped a picture with her iPhone as the two singers were sitting in a black Bentley.

That’s when Spann says Brown reached through the window, grabbed her phone, and made the statement about her not putting it on a website.

UPDATE - Here’s a photo of Chris Brown at Cameo on February 19th! We’re definitely a website so it brings me a little bit of joy knowing Brown’s alleged illegal actions were for naught.

The report says Brown then rolled up his window and drove west on Espanola Way, and north on Washington Avenue.

Miami Beach Police responded to the incident at 4:43 a.m and would list the incident as a “robbery by sudden snatching,” which is a felony.

According to NBC Miami the state attorney’s office is preparing an arrest warrant for Chris Brown. The iPhone is valued at $500. Tyga was not implicated in the crime.

As you may know, Chris Brown is still on probation for assault charges stemming from his brutal attack of then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. If authorities press this issue, Brown could be in a heap of stink. I just can’t imagine that is worth the price of not having a photo of you sitting in a Bentley being put on a website.

He has some serious anger problems that obviously have not been worked through. He needs to fade away and quickly.

    • Christina

I love his music, I am a huge fan of that part of him. He’s a great entertainer but needs to gain some humility and respect in general. UGH cmon chris brown

    • blizast

If someone is stupid enough to be a fan of this idiot and want a picture of him they deserve their phone to be stolen. Taking his picture just adds to his over inflated sense of importance and makes his ego that much bigger! If I ever saw this douche-fart in public I would completely ignore his presence!

    • hanna

I wish people would leave him alone, hes done his crime now leave him alone..Hes a human being too. People learn from their mistakes..Shoot id be mad too if someone was taking my photo without asking…I love CB and his music..people want him to respect people how about people respect him.Respect is both ways not just one..just sayin

      • Diana

You wish people would leave him alone? Mmmkay. Well, that’s kind of a difficult thing to do when he continues to parade his idiocy.

        • hanna

Then why pay attention.there are other celebrites who have done it too.so yes I wish ppl would leave him alone.everyone deserves. A second chance. And we only see and read what the tabloids Put up.none of us knw what’s really going on with him unless yu knw him personally

          • Diana

He’s had his second chance. And a third. And a fourth….where does it end? At what point do we say enough is enough. Just because someone is a celebrity doesn’t mean that bad behavior is acceptable. In fact, I think it should be LESS acceptable. These are people that are in the public eye, children and young adults look up to them. They should be modeling the type of behavior that benefits society, not the kind that degrades it.

            • hanna

Diana i do agree that they should be held with higher punishment. IT MAY SEEM LIKE I AGREE WITH WHAT HE DID TO RIHANNA BUT I DONT, NO WOMEN SHOULD BE BETTEN EVER..BUT I JUST DISLIKE THE FACT THEY ARE JUST PUTTING CB DWN. WHEN CLEARLY THERE ARE OTHER CELEBS WHO HAVE DONE WORSE AND YET MAKE CB LOOK LIKE HE KILLED SOMEONE…

      • Roxanne

Um, someone disrespecting you is NOT grounds for STEALING. Idiot.
And no, he clearly doesn’t deserve a second chance, and doesn’t learn from his mistakes, because he still has major control issues. The guy is a nut job. Is he talented? Sure. But he’s not a sane person, and he should have gone to jail for a long time for what he did to Rihanna in the first place.

        • hanna

Ok. How Classy calling someone an idiot, not very. I really dnt care what y’all think.your bullying someone by calling. Them an idiot that’s jst as bad.so yea..I’m taking the high road. There’s a lot of ppl who should be in jail for stuff, but there not so get over it.

          • Roxanne

Yeah, because defending and being devoted to an abusive criminal who is guilty of a felony is taking the high road, and is soooo classy, right? *Eye roll.* And no, I won’t “get over it.” I’ve been abused myself, so no, I don’t “get over” people who get simply a slap on the wrist for such an inhumane crime. I consider standing up against abusers to be taking the high road. Hopefully someday you’ll value survivors of abuse just as much as you value the abuser.

Hanna, you are delusional to think that Chris Brown has learned from his mistakes. After the whole Rhianna scandal he didn’t learn… he threw a chair out of a studio window because he didn’t like the question he was asked. He is an egotistical child and has tantrums when he doesn’t like something. He is arrogant and doesn’t respect people because he feels he can do whatever he wants and his fans will still kiss his ass. YOU are a perfect example of that!! Yet again he behaves badly and here you are DEFENDING him. It’s people like you who allow him to continue to act without consequence. You say you’d be mad too is someone took you pic with out asking… well people take pics of CB ALL THE TIME WITHOUT ASKING!! He’s a celebrity!! THAT COMES WITH THE PACKAGE!! His pic is snapped ALL THE TIME without his permission… it’s called the papparazzi!! Stop making excuses for him. He is NOT special and the same rules apply to HIM that apply to us. He too must be held accountable for his actions… just saying.

            • hanna

SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME AND YALL IS THAT I AM A CHRISTIAN SO THEREFORE I DO BELIEVE PEOPLE CAN CHANGE AND DO DESERVE CHANCES..I BELIEVE IN THE WORD OF GOD NOT PEOPLE..SO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME BEING A CHRISTIAN AND THINKING HE CAN CHANGE THEN YOU TAKE IT UP WITH THE BIG MAN UPSTAIRS…NOT ME..THANKS PEACE…

              • Roxanne

That sounded absolutely ridiculous. You have no way of knowing the religious backgrounds of who you are talking to on the internet unless they state them flat out, and I haven’t stated mine. And Christianity has nothing to do with this, not to mention you imply that other religions/spiritual philosophies don’t believe in peace or that people can change.

The difference between you and I is not in what we believe/don’t believe. The difference between you and I is that I stand up for survivors of abuse, and not the abusers. I never said Chris Brown CAN’T change. I said he HASN’T changed. But I very much doubt that he will change. Most abusers DON’T CHANGE. If you have studied these types of people the way I have, you would know that they are the way they are because more often than not, something is very wrong with their brains that cannot be fixed. We have actually studied Chris Brown in particular in a class about abusers that I took as part of my studies. The behaviors he exhibits are perfect examples of patterns of abusers who have something wrong with their brain, and they typically don’t change.

Besides, change only comes about when the person who needs to change WANTS to change, and Chris Brown doesn’t show any signs of wanting to change. He seems perfectly content with his disgusting habits.

Oh, and by the way, I am a Christian. It is one of many spiritual philosophies/religions that I believe in. And saying that Chris Brown is an abuser does not make me less Christian. Wanting him in jail where he belongs does not make me any less Christian. Wanting justice for his crimes does not make me any less Christian.

I wish you well, and I hope that one day you will try to open your mind to this. I understand why it’s tough and conflicting, seeing as I was once a heavily devoted Chris Brown fan.

                • hanna

Like I said I dnt agree what he did to rihanna, but that doesn’t mean I dnt like him also if you’ve read tmz he’s takin photos with ppl since then and that has been no problems

    • blueblueblue

How stupid. I can’t believe he is still a “thing”

    • LaDy

There’s too much of his butt in the first picture. I’m just saying. If his butts all over the internet, why not him in the back of a bently?

    • Diana

He’s such a douche bag. I’m seriously shocked that he has any female fans left after what he did. But then again, Rihanna is dumb enough to be around him again, so I guess that makes it okay in the eyes of some people.

    • Sunshine

I don’t think this was a sign of letting his temper get the best of him… it sounds like plain out immaturity.

    • Erica

Where are the pictures of the phone being snatched? Plenty of photogs yet now proof of a “crime” occurring (her word over his). I’ll believe it when I see it.

      • Erica
