We posted a few weeks ago about a Twitter exchange between Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska and Jamie Lynn Spears after Jamie had watched an episode and wanted to express sympathy for Chelsea’s situation with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Adam Lind. The two young, single moms agreed that they should set up a play date for their daughters, Maddie (3) and Aubree (2).

It now appears that Jamie and Chelsea have followed through with setting up a play date… for themselves! In New Orleans! During Mardi Gras!!!

Chelsea shared the above photo on Twitter along with the tweet, “Gahhh @jamielynnspears puuuurdy girl” Jamie retweeted the photo and added, “youuuu knowww”

Wow! Chelsea Houska, Jamie Lynn Spears, and their womentourage are currently strolling the streets of New Orleans! Something tells me those ladies are going to have a lot of beads thrown their way But lawdy lawd, keep your tops on girls – I certainly don’t want to spend my weekend writing “Chelsea and Jamie: Girls Gone Wild!” articles.

In case you missed it, Jamie Lynn Spears recently gave an interview with Glamour in which she talked about being 16 and pregnant herself and offered up her thoughts on the Teen Mom phenomenon. Looking back on her situation it’s easy to understand why she felt a connection to Chelsea Houska.

I like Chelsea. She’s not my favorite Teen Mom, but she clearly loves Aubree and I respect that. But she seems to me to be the most fame hungry of all the girls. She is usually the one responding or taking pictures with celebrities. I’m not saying she’s a bad mom, just that she likes the attention she got from Teen Mom.

I’ve always liked Jamie Lynn Spears so it’s good to see her back in the news. And it sounds like she’s working on some music too, so I wish her the best. It’s funny that her and Chelsea should become friends, I wondered if the “original” teen mom would ever have anything to do with the new ones. Good for them!

Personally, I feel Jamie Lynn is far too good to be hanging around with the like of Chelsea! After following chelsea on twitter for sometime I must say I do not like the image she gives off. I may be wrong but she seems to care far too much about money & fame living off her Dad’s handouts and far too little about her daughter Aubree!

Chelsea is my favorite teen mom out of all the 8 girls, but she does seem a little fame hungry at times. Like I feel that she thinks she’ll meet Britney spears now cause she’s friends with her younger sister. Idk. I may be wrong be it’s just my opinion

I’ve always defended Chelsea’s love for her daughter, but after the last few months I’ve started to doubt that it’s genuine. Just this month she was in NY for 4 days, Chicago for 3 days, and now is in Louisiana for (at least) 4 days. That’s at least a third of the month that she just up and left her daughter. Plus, she went to Florida. Granted, Aubree was with her when she went to Florida, but she talked about how she went there because she “needed a break”. A break from what, exactly? She doesn’t have a job and she’s not in school.

In December and November she was in NY for at least 4 days without Aubree, also. In my entire childhood, my parents went on 1 vacation without me: a 7 day cruise. My mother travels for work, but it’s never been more than 4 days at a time and I was always left with my dad. Not to mention, my mom has a real job with real responsibilities, deadlines, people to manage, etc. And she does her job well. (aka she doesn’t try to promote unplanned pregnancy and have 2 friends that get pregnant, a castmate that gets pregnant, and a sister that gets pregnant all within 2 years)

She desperately wants people to take her seriously and accept that she doesn’t live an overly spoiled lifestyle, then she goes and has been jetsetting around the US.

  I agree! I haven’t followed her travels as closely but she really seems to be leading a very spoiled lifestyle. I could see if Randy paid for 1 trip because she graduated from beauty school or made some accomplishment to better herself but going on multiple trips in 1 month for no reason besides hanging out or relaxing is wrong. I know Chelsea has alot of fans but her lifestyle is VERY unrealistic of teen moms. I hate how so many people dislike Farrah for leaving Sophia with her mom, but at least she graduated from college. Farrah used the time to better herself.
  
  From seeing these pictures I worry more about the rumors of Chelsea abusing pills. You can’t tell me it doesn’t look like the were drinking, and Chelsea is 19? Just like her relationship with Adam I wonder what she is willing to do to fit in with the cool celebrity crowd.
  
  As much as I think Chelsea does love her daughter, I do not like how she keeps calling Aubree her best friend. Aubree needs a mom not a best friend.
  
  I just overall find it sad, the the teen mom who has the most family & financial support does so little with it to better her life.

  She’s a selfish spoiled brat who gets whatever she wants, while other teen moms or single moms in general HAVE to work to get by and actually DO take care of their children

Chelsea went to FL as a vacation for her & Aubree to see her SISTER who lives there. She was in NY & Chicago for MTV reasons. How can you say she doesnt work and doesnt go to school? She is currently in Hair School now. She’s posted on her twitter about school and there have been many studens who write on twitter about how Chelsea Houska goes to their school. Work. Im pretty sure MTV TEEN MOM is work. The girls hate it. They cant stand fliming. Its hard work. MTV makes them re live scenes and talk about things more often then they normally would. They have to redo scenes too if they didnt get a good shot. Its grueling. Both Randy (her dad) & Chelsea have made statements that she no longer depends on him to take care of her. She makes a boatload from mtv. There is no need for her to depend on him. & why shouldnt she be paid? She lets her life be filmed and then judged by millions every week. Im confused as to why you would think she is a bad mother because she works out of town on occasions. All moms need a break. She is the soul parent. Adam gets aubree about once or twice a month.

Wow must be nice tO get knocked up at 16 and still travel all the time and party. This show claims that they are not glamorizing teen pregnancy but then all they show are poor little rich girls so yeah life is easy for them and it doesn’t send a good message.
Second of all Chelsea is a pretty girl why is she making herself look so wired with the bleached blond hair and the red lipstick. Some people can pull it off well but she is way to tan.

At some point people have to remember that she is still young. At least she doesn’t leave her child with some random person when he leaves on her trips. She has to go to all these trips because that is how she generates the income to care for her child. Unless you dumb people think that Adam actually offers help. If this was the only that I could provide for my child for the time being that I wouldn’t think twice about doing it. She is finally not living off her dad and now people want to nit pick something else about her.

Well, I always admired the bond Chelsea has with Aubree, but I think the only reason they have such a strong bond is because Chelsea and Aubree are always together. It took Chelsea a long time to finally get a job and do something about school. I’ll be honest though, next to Jenelle and Amber she is one of my least favorites. Her dad was paying for her house, and she had a friend to help out with Aubree, yet she STILL couldn’t graduate high school? LOL.
