Anderson gives Toddlers and Tiaras moms makeovers in their daughters' pageant dresses

TLC’s controversial reality series Toddlers and Tiaras seems to make headlines every week thanks to the things the young girls are asked by their mothers (and sometimes fathers) to do and wear while on stage competing in beauty pageants. Numerous talk show hosts and media outlets have tried to make the moms understand why people get so upset when a three-year-old girl dresses as Julia Roberts’ prostitute character from Pretty Woman, almost always to no avail.

On Friday the Silver Fox himself, Anderson Cooper, will try once again – but he’ll be taking a fresh approach. His crew is making over four of the moms in replicas of their daughters’ pageant dresses!

***It should be noted that before watching the clips (or reading this post tbh) you should familiarize yourself with Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her mama June “The Coupon Queen” Shannon. (They’re the mother/daughter duo in pink)

Here’s a description of the episode from the Anderson show web site:

It’s Anderson‘s Pageant Mom Makeover Experiment! For the first time ever, the moms from the hit TLC show “Toddlers & Tiaras” are getting a pageant-style makeovers…. complete with replica versions of their daughters’ own dresses, makeup, and hair. Find out what they learn when they experience firsthand what their daughters endure every time they compete. Will these mothers feel differently after walking in their daughters’ Mary Janes?

Anderson is joined by veteran pageant girls, as well as the show’s newest addition, viral sensation Alana “Honey Boo Boo Child” and their mothers, to discuss the latest controversies from this current season, including hyper-caffeinated drinks and the decision by one of the mothers to have her 8-year-old daughter count calories.

That is some funny shit!! The girls are beaut. And if they wanna do it that’s just great but the parents should not be doping them up with redbull and dew.. That’s just wrong!! Hello w/a her teeth?? Iam sure she doesnt wanna grow up too look like you. (no offfenseee) teeehheee..

wow!! Fat ass in pink. and pretty ugly and her daughter making duck/f**k face.. ugh! YUCK!!

I see nothing wrong with pageants. I have a niece that I put in pageants and she loves them. What they do on stage does not define who they are. It is no different than putting your boys on a football field to run into each other and run until they puke. It’s only being talked about like crazy because people are worried about how old the girls look. I don’t know one woman who would get on here and say she never caked make-up on her face and teased her hair to the sky in the 80′s or played dress-up or fantasized about being Barbie! Keep rocking it girls! Yall are awesome!

I agree pageants alone are not the problem but these particular four moms Anderson is showcasing are some of the worst ones there are. They have serious issues and their children are rude and don’t have good sportsmanship at all. There are no values or humility being taught by these particular women. And Alana and her mom are just scary as all get out.

          You people are absolute morons.

It may not be such an issue if some of these kids who “enjoy” the pageants didn’t look so miserable. Let the child whine about NOT wanting to do it and the mother who says “It’s up to her if we do them or not” gets all pissy and then starts pumping the child full of sugar. And dolling them up with all the make up is not natural, nor is spray painting them ORANGE. It’s a false sense of what beauty really is but that’s just my opinion.

the heavier mom and daughter in hot pink are so trashy. i happened to see that episode. the little girl has no class and the mom is just gross.

I am horrified that someone actually slept with that to make a child. EWWWWWWWWWWWWW PASS THE MIND BLEACH!!!

As a “Pageant Mother” myself I have NO problems with children being in pageants IF they are done right and the child wants to actaully be in them. My daughter who is 9 now was in pageants from the age of 5 months until she was 6 years old.She competed in over 50 pageants , where she placed 1st place in over 20 and Top 3 in the rest, At NO time did she have to wear anything that was FAKE, No fake teeth, No fake hair, No fake tanning, and No caked on Make-up, My daughter wore very little make-up, Always very light Eye shadow, and light Lip gloss, NOTHING more. She won for Her TRUE BEAUTY :) And I NEVER gave her anything to “hype her up” and she NEVER wore anything that showed too much of her body. When she said she no longer wanted to compete she was NOT forced to do so anyhow, We stoped right then and there. These women should be ASHAMED of themselves for the way they are doing these children. They are being taught that to be Beautiful then you must be FAKE and dress like a hooker. As mothers we should be teaching our daughters that Beauty comes from within, Not that you’re only beautiful if you look the way they are being made up to look. It is truly sad how little girls will grow up to beileve these things. Most of these children dont even want to be in these pageants but their Mothers (and Fathers sometimes) force them to do so , its just a way for the parent to live out their dream through their child.

This article is about the girls in these pageants and all most of you wanna do is put down the mother who doesn’t look like a Barbie Doll. Hmmmm. I wonder why these women do what they do? Probably because of ignorant people like you. Talk to me when you have six-pack abs, perfect pearly white teeth and you are completely happy with everything about your looks.
