VIDEOS Teen Mom 2 S2 E12 After Show and bonus footage break down: Leah says divorce was a result of foolish pride

I went a little sentimental last week following the penultimate episode of season 2 of Teen Mom 2 but we’re back this Wednesday breaking down the After Show and bonus footage.

This week’s After Show starts with the girls reflecting on what it’s like to look back at the last year of their life. Personally, I think I’d need a bucket and a corner man if I had to watch a video recap of my life each year. That can’t be easy man! Anywho, Leah gets very real and reflective about the whirlwind that was the divorce, Kailyn looks back at her hook-up with Jo and what that meant to her and Jordan, Jenelle discusses rehab and what it was like to see her mom so openly overjoyed to see her return home and Chelsea talks Adam and lets the slightest bit of hope in that she’ll one day get past him.

Leah:

Leah starts off by being asked about Corey’s unwillingness to answer her calls. She places no blame and simply states that the wheels were in motion and that they were spinning too fast for either one of them to really be able to do anything about it. She’s asked if she regrets filing for divorce after discovering that Corey had not and she figures it was his intention to do so since he had hired a lawyer himself.

It’s obvious that this recap was extremely painful for Leah. She reveals that the day before the divorce was finalized she offered a chance at reconciliation, that they could go to counseling and that they would look back and regret the decision but that he simply said nothing. Leah admits that what it came down to is that neither one of them could swallow their pride. She then said at the time that her life seemed like one bad nightmare.

Jenelle:

Jenelle figured that rehab would be like jail or a mental institution but she discovered a different world as her stint was in a house up in the mountains that was really peaceful and beautiful. In regards to Delp’s call, Jenelle explained that her motivation to cut him off was because going “there” would just defeat the purpose of rehab. It was an emotional breakthrough, and the moms in the audience felt like it was a great moment for Jenelle and her son.

Bahhhhhhbra! Jenelle’s mom openly showed affection and was so happy to see her daughter return. Jenelle said it did feel good and that the 30 days was the longest the two had ever been apart. Jenelle joked that the real reason she was so excited was because she brought her mom a bunch of gifts. Could it be that Jenelle and Barbara are realizing they need each other!?! I hope so and I think as a like-minded and goal-oriented team they could be great and it would be wonderful for Jace.

I’ve always imagined that if Jace, one of the most laid back kids I’ve ever seen, was talking fully he’d say something like, “Yo. Moms and grandma. It’s all good, let’s just tone it down with the yelling and all go get a Happy Meal. I mean we all love each other amirite? Yeah, I’m right.”

Chelsea:

Oh man, Chelsea said her heart fell out when she saw you know who at the car show. It had been months since she saw Adam but whammo, it was that same love. The host reminds Chelsea that she may always have these feelings but that she’s just projecting an idea of what “Adam” is vs. who he really is. As always, Chelsea confides that she knows all of this to be true but she just can’t help herself.

Chelsea knew that seeing him again would be bad but she did it anyway. Of course Adam is all about being friends but Chelsea was hoping that he would want more, she explained that she feels it’s Adam’s way of getting himself back in to her life.

Then Chelsea said something… She said that someday she’s gonna find a great guy! She let it slip out even though she quickly tried to say I hope I’ll find a great guy, she said it. She can’t take it back and it’s on video… We can now verify that at least .000001% of Chelsea Houska knows she will be fine one day without Adam Lind.

Kailyn:

Kailyn didn’t see the re-hook up with Jo coming she claims. Kailyn was upset about how much Jo exposed what happened between the two. Kailyn explained that she had discussed her feelings for Jo with Jordan and that she and Jordan had been fighting so maybe it wasn’t as bad it seems when she dropped the info about her and Jo’s night.

Kailyn explains that she was surprised by the fact that Jo wasn’t interested in starting up a relationship with her again after they had sex. At the time of the taping of this After Show Kailyn stated that Jo was happy with another girl but she was interested in getting back together, though admitting she didn’t think it would work out.

This week’s bonus footage has Chelsea chatting it up with friend Erika about her year and how satisfied she is with the place she finds herself in. Oh, and there’s some too cute Aubree “Mommy” shouts too.

Until we meet again… And of course we’ll be bringing you updates from Chelsea, Jenelle, Kailyn, and Leah as we get ‘em.

i cried at the end, especially seeing leah and corey so upset. i’m not a fan of leah’s at all, but to see two people so heartbroken really got to me. i wish they were still together.

I think anyone who is in Kailyn’s life should run for the hills. She hurts EVERYONE!

I actually felt sad for Leah and I’ve never been a supporter of her. I think that while Corey deserves much, much better and probably should stay away from her, she really jumped the gun on filing for divorce and it was all because she was getting TERRIBLE advice from her lawyer, mother and step parent. And why couldn’t Corey see his girls without talking to a lawyer first? That’s absurd. There’s no agreement in place until a judge says so. That’s not arranged in ONE day just from visiting your divorce lawyer!
Chelsea desperately needs extensive counseling. That’s all there is to say.
Jenelle left us all feeling good, like maybe she turned her life around, but of course she didn’t. After months of updates, we know that even without the Dr. Drew special.
And Kailyn disgusted me. She tells Jo she wants to try again, NOT because she has feelings for him (I don’t doubt that she does, but this wasn’t expressed….) but because Jordan left her. When he turned down her offer, she cried because she was pissed that neither guy wants her now and she’s alone. Not to mention, the defensive way she told Jordan she cheated on him, though she didn’t admit that either….not even with an apology or some tears, just expecting him to feel sorry for her. Dang…..

She had to wait for the custody to be worked out because if she dropped them off and he didnt want to bring them back he legally wouldnt have to because their was no order in place

Lean and Corey’s divorce was extremely emotional and heartbreaking however Leah really needs to evaluate herself and why she did what she did. Yes, there were some obvious communication issues but they are both still young and I think things could have gotten better if Leah hadn’t cheated. There obviously must be things being edited out because the divorce filing and the moving all seem so hasty. Leah crying through it all was a bit much but the girls being dragged back and forth and Corey bounncing between anger and sadness, made all of this so real. Leah’s family seems to support her no matter what but they really needed to talk to her and find out what is causing all of the ill decision making on her part.

Chelsea, as others have stated, does need counseling or something. It’s so pathetic to see the look she gets on her face when Adam calls her phone. Adam ignored her (and Aubree) for months including the night at the car show but the minute he felt like he wanted to be bothered, there she goes smiling and getitng caught up. I was bothered that Chelsea got all fixed up for Adam’s arrival to pick up Aubree, yet the poor child was half dressed. None of their “reunion” was about Aubree. The trip out to his parents house, the motor bike ride was all about Chelsea being close to Adam, not him spending time with Aubree, who I assume must have been with his parents at the time. All Chelsea cared about was who Adam was with and of they could get back together, not why haven’t you been here for your daughter. When Adam said he wanted to be “friends” Chelsea looked hurt but still hanging on the glimmer hope. Yet as we can see from the promo and Chelsea’s recent updates, the two of them still are not doing right by Aubree or one another.

      Janelle needs no summary.

I laughed at Kailyn because of her sheer stupidity. I don’t knw who told her she was special or where she gets off thinking she can hurt people and then act all “whatever” but it was so funny to see her get her face broke when Jo said he didn’t want her. Kailyn acted all non chalant when she discussed her cheating with Jo and was so cold when Jordan was obviously hurt. I couldn’t believe her. She was so disgusting last night. But they say assuming will make an a$$ out of you, and that it did. she called Jo over as if to say “now that I am through with Jordan, and we had sex, I have time for you know”. Um no Kail, that’s not how it works. And that is why she was left looking dumb and alone.

It was so frustrating to watch the episode last night and see how Leah and Corey were both devastated about what was going on but refused to talk about it! It seemed like neither one of them wanted to go through with the divorce but neither one of them would step up and say something. It just shows the huge lack of communication between them and how the lack of communication and willing to work through their problems was the real reason for their marriage ending :(

I used to be a big fan of Leah’s. She reminded me of Maci from the first teen mom. However, after watching this season and learning that she cheated on Corey AGAIN made me lose any respect for her. And then to justify her actions by saying that they were fighting and Corey wasn’t having sex with her. Um okay? Nice example you’re setting for your daughters. However, she and Corey both seemed to have moved on and are happy now.

Jenelle pissed me off near the beginning of the season. I actually found myself rooting for her when she cut ties with Kieffer and voluntarily went to rehab. Here’s hoping that she can stay clean and out of trouble for that little cutie, Jace.

I’ve always liked Chelsea ever since her 16 and Pregnant episode. However, she has a major blind spot when it comes to Adam. The way that he continually treats her and talks to her but she comes running back after he calls and says that he “needs” her. I don’t know how she can continue to go back to him especially after 16 and Pregnant when he called her a fat b*tch and Aubree that mistake. Hopefully, she learns some self-respect and leaves him for good. It seems that Aubree doesn’t even recognize when he’s there or not.

I was never a fan of Kailyn’s until now. I’m not justifying her mistake by cheating with Jo and hurting Jordan but it seems that she still has major feelings for Jo that she’s been denying until now. However, Jo came off as a major ass by having sex with her and then saying he didn’t want her. I liked them together and I think they’re both just stubborn and prideful. Hopefully, they can work it out in the future.

I actually joked with some truth at beg of this season Twitter.
Having grown up around bi polar individuals my entire life, I saw Jenelle’s behavior from a new angle this season in particular. Before I think some of the edits may have kept me from seeing it.
It was obvious she was exhibiting typical bi polar behavior this season. Edits didn’t hide it. She was all over the board. Snapping for what would seem like no reason. Letting depression over the loser really interfere with her life despite the pain it caused her mom & Jace.
I feel a little bad I was so snarky on Twitter. But I am glad Jenelle is getting help. One thing that will make her fame train interesting is the same for any bi polar individual. They think they are better and won’t stay on medications or with treatments and it all spirals.
