There was much hype heading into Thursday night’s concert at L.A.’s Dodger Stadium that Madonna might be reuniting exes Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, and she delivered! Well, sorta. The sprung chickens both joined Madonna on stage, but not at the same time. Britney appeared and sang some of Human Nature, while Justin came out later in the show (no, not that kind of “came out”) to help with a performance of 4 Minutes.
We usually try to avoid Madonna concert videos and images any more, mainly because there are still a few starcastic employees that like to shut themselves in the closet and “pop out” to The Immaculate Collection, and we – ummmm – they just can’t stand to see the immaterial girl circus production that is a modern day Madonna show. BUT, if Brit Brit is gonna share the stage, we just have to check in! So, we did.
We’re speechless.
There’s no room to exaggerate here. She looks waaaaay more ridiculous than we could ever make her sound. I guess if you push the envelope for 50 years, you eventually wind up delivering it to the moon.
In stark comparison, Britney appears almost classy. You’d think she just walked off the set of Tim Gunn’s Guide To Style, if not for the MC Hammer’s Angels biker pants (Then again, it could just be the fact that she’s standing next to Slashdini) Despite the contrast, there is something eerily similar between the two pop divas, some sort of connection that goes beyond blond hair and a microphone. We put our pop scientists on it and they discovered a small anomaly in the image that, when looked at more closely, explains the connection perfectly!
