Amber Portwood arrested

As we reported earlier today, an Indiana judge accepted a plea deal from troubled Teen Mom star Amber Portwood that would allow her to enter rehab once again to avoid having to serve her 5-year prison sentence stemming from a December arrest for drug possession and a probation violation. Now we have a photo of Amber Portwood arriving in court! She is wearing bold orange-striped prison garb with handcuffs and appears to be laughing.

TMZ has a photo of a more somber looking Amber entering the courtroom so perhaps we shouldn’t read to much into her apparent jovial spirits. It could have been a joke or something ridiculous said by a photographer or journalist present in the courtroom. (Perhaps Gary was there offering up his “Boo Dip Bop Bop Booger?”)

Looks like she fattened up a bit since she doesn’t have all her pills to keep her full. Not that she looks fat – just plumper than before. Maybe it’s the fact that she is her natural more pale color too, I know I always look thinner with a tan.

  I thought the same thing! I guess you chunk up a bit without access to pills. So much for her claim that she lost weight thru diet and working out. I mean yeah prison food is most likely garbage but nobody says you have to stuff your face with it and she has nothing but time to workout, even if it is just situps in her cell!

  She want being mean, just observant. I, too, thought she had looked as though she gained some weight. Which, to me, is probsbly a good thing as she looked too thin before.

  Actually, they can wear makeup in jail. And she can control what she eats if she has a family member sending her money. lol. They show it all the time on that Lock-Up show.

I feel really bad for her. Sure she made some mistakes like all humans do and was aired on national t.v. I’m a teen mom as well and it’s hard raising a kid with a man that can puts down the self esteem of the mom. Here’s the difference between Jenelle and Amber. Amber actually takes care of her daughter and always put her first unlike Jenelle I have never seen her take care of Jace in the whole new season. Amber does take care of her child dispite the immaturity that Gary was (or still is)

  You have a looooonnnnggg way to go to convince anyone that Amber is better than Gary, especially in the parent department. He’s not fantastic, in fact far from it, but he and Leah at least are bonded and he shows his child he loves her and cares. It wasn’t Amber Leah cried at the door to get at when leaving.

  How does Gary cause her low self-esteem?! It’s the complete opposite…she beat on him right on TV, in front of her daughter. And her drug using hx is so obvious, as she is putting on the typical weight gain after being cut off. THAT’ S how she lost her weight after baby.
