Katt - I think you're comparing apples and oranges. Most of the comic book industry's franchise characters were created before the Civil Rights Movement and few of them had identities that were tied to their race. (Wonder Woman was from a tribe of Amazons - Beyonce doesn't seem like much of a stretch) Plus, one of the unique things about comic book characters is that they have a history of being "revamped" - think Dr. Who or James Bond. On the other hand, Malcom X was an actual human being whose identity is very tied to his race. Gary Busey playing an African American Civil Rights leader is a little more preposterous than Beyonce playing Wonder Woman. That being said, Halle Berry was indeed a very bad Cat Woman. (She''s a much better Storm from the X-Men movies. Of course, that's mostly about looking good) I think there are better choices for Wonder Woman than Beyonce, but that's because I want the character to be believable (in as far as a comic book superhero can be) in addition to looking good. Don't think for a second that I wouldn't queue up Beyonce as Wonder Woman on Netflix, though! I might watch it on mute, but I'd watch it!

I feel that this isn't the role for her. Race isnt a factor, but, Wonderwoman is caucasion in the comic strip I think that it will upset some long time fans. I think that they should stick to the original game plan. Remember Halle as " catwoman" ? It didn't do so hot. I would think that they would want to make money , not lose money. Any how, I did not see a caucasion person cast in the role of Malcom X.
