Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott married her yummy drummin’ beau Chris Tyrrell in upstate New York on Saturday. The wedding ceremony was attended by family and friends and featured a performance by Steven Curtis Chapman during the couple’s first dance.
Scott and Tyrrell did an amazing job of keeping their nuptials secret from the media and were able to make the announcement themselve on Sunday by posting a fun video on their web site. Here’s a video report that includes the original clip:
“What’s up Lady A’ers?” Hillary Scott asks at the start. “I’d like to introduce you to Mrs. Hillary Scott Tyrrell,” declares Chris Tyrell. An obviously over the moon Hillary then chimes in with “We got married!” The 25-year-old “Need You Know” singer then flashed her wedding ring.
“We just wanted you to hear it from us first,” Scott says. “We love you. We’re so excited to be starting our life together and we just had to let you in on the exciting news.”

Scott and Tyrell, who is a drummer for the band Love and Theft, met while touring with Tim McGraw in early 2010. Tyrell popped the question at sunset on the weekend of July 4, 2011 in East Tennessee.
Hillary Scott’s wedding dress is a custom strapless Vera Wang mermaid dress with pearl beading and hand-applied crystal. She carried white flowers and wore a mantilla veil with hand-cut chantilly lace applique.
Congrats to Hillary and Chris! Oh, and don’t think this is the last romantic good news for the group for a while because fellow band member Dave Haywood proposed to girlfriend Kelli Cashiola last month and I’m sure the wedding bells will be ringing again soon!
