Singer Katy Perry wants everybody to know one thing: Nobody speaks for Katy Perry other than Katy Perry!
Katy took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support after her husband of 14 months filed for divorce on December 30, but immediately after she angrily tweeted in response to the numerous stories about the split that quoted her family and sources close to her. It also assumed she is referencing her parents recent sermon in Ohio during which the topic of Katy’s divorce came up numerous times:
Meanwhile, Katy’s future ex Russell Brand is making headlines for his “WTF With Marc Maron” podcast interview conducted just prior to filing for divorce in which he talked about how hard it is not to “cherish and crave” his womanizing past.
“I’d do a gig and four or five women would come back.
“There were times when it wasn’t all desperate and ugly. There were times when I was this representation of pure libertarianism and sexuality. It’s so hard not to cherish them and crave them.
“I know where they ended up. I know where they went, but I became this thing. Women meeting across me. One would leave, another would come. There’d be crossovers. And they had no problem with each other. And it was blissful.”
And later he added, “If I leave food alone, I start to think food is the answer. If I leave sex alone I think sex is the answer. Or love.”
As Katy Perry tries to privately mourn “The One That Got Away,” let’s hand the reigns over to her sister pop diva Britney to take us home…
