UPDATE – It seems Madonna didn’t approve of her tata pics being shared so her people have asked that everyone remove them. While it lasts they can still be seen in their unedited form over at holymoly.com.

Just after the announcement was made that 53-year-old Madonna would be performing at halftime of this year’s Super Bowl these photos from 2008 surfaced showing the singer topless and in a transparent bra while posing for a photo shoot for W magazine. It’s almost as though she’s letting us know what to prepare for when she pulls her own pre-planned Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction! The pictures were taken by photographer Steven Klein at the Hotel Gloria in Rio de Janeiro with Madonna’s boy toy at the time, Jesus Luz, also in attendance (although he is not seen in these outtake pictures). Some slightly less revealing photos from the set (as well as slightly altered in Photoshop) were used as part of a cover story in the March 2009 issue of W titled “Blame It On Rio.” Here’s the cover in which you will recognize the couch:

Although Madonna is a fitness freak, the unmistakable signs of aging can be seen in the unretouched photos, especially in her midsection. That being said, Madonna is looking pretty damn good for 51 y’all! And kudos to her for never having big ol’ ridiculous breast implants! (Who needs implants when you wear an overly-exaggerated cone bra anyway?!?)
