VIDEOS Teen Mom S3 E9 After Show and bonus footage

It’s time once again for our Wednesday break down of the Teen Mom After Show and bonus footage provided by MTV. Let’s see how Catelynn, Farrah and Maci (Amber wasn’t present due to her time spent in rehab) reacted to last night’s show and how it relates to their current situations. Here’s the full After Show:

Farrah:

The disastrous trip to Arizona. Farrah believes that her parents were more focused on their relationship as opposed to helping her and Sophia find a place to live. She thinks that her parents were down on the places she was showing them more out of wanting her to stay home than a concern for her safety. Farrah stated that her parents got a divorce because of all the tension in their home but that they still live together. Farrah added that it’s always a point of conversation and that she doesn’t want herself or Sophia to be caught in the middle of that.

Interestingly, Farrah explained that it was this divorce and the realization that one of her parents could very well no longer live at home that pushed her to want to become independent for Sophia’s sake. The awkwardness of her parent’s relationship made her bitter and angry and she stated that they did in fact fight all the time. Understandably, Farrah felt confused about her parent’s arrangement feeling like they should move on if they’re not going to get married again.

Catelynn:

They began the discussion with viewers meeting Catelynn’s father for the first time. It had been 4 years since she had seen him and Catelynn explained that he lived far (Florida) away and that her father takes care of her handicapped brother which is extremely difficult to do financially. Mainly, distance and money kept them physically apart she explained. She added that they’ve maintained a good relationship because her dad has always been supportive of her.

They followed up on Tyler trying and being unable to get her dad’s permission to marry her but she was thankful that he said, when they met, that as long as Tyler loved her and vice-versa that he supported their marriage.

Maci:

Maci starts off talking about her struggles with going to college and she stated that she got lazy and that fact made her think she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. She said her mother reminded her that to be independent she needed to get a degree. This perspective got her back on the track to school. Farrah suggested that Maci look into getting scholarships.

Ryan’s strange text suggesting that Kyle work with him in a new venture came up next. Maci stated that Ryan was working as a diesel mechanic and the company he worked for wanted someone to wash and detail the trucks and that Ryan was to be that guy and he didn’t want to do it so that’s what gave him the idea to recruit Kyle. When Kyle didn’t follow through Maci explains that Ryan quit that particular job.

Next up was Ryan’s attempts at Facebooking which Maci explained away as Ryan simply going emotionally nuts at the time. She also let us know that Ryan and her mom are no longer Facebook friends. Maci is Facebook friends with Ryan but says she uses it to do screen grabs to prove that Ryan is not doing what he claims to do.

An instance she gave was that when he has Bentley and posts that he’s headed out to the club she caps it and keeps it for her records. In the same breath she stated that she didn’t friend Ryan on Facebook to “creep.” Farrah asked, “So you use it for law reasons. That’s not creeping?” Good question Farrah! Maci was hoping Ryan wasn’t watching the After Show (or reading this post now).

In this week’s bonus footage we see Farrah discussing her trip to Los Angeles with her parents and her plans to move on and out. As usual the conversation gets tense:

Any Way Maci can bash Ryan she will do it He was offering a job to Kyle to help him out. So how Ryan is the bad guy here Maci is so full of herself she really need to humble herself she is not that great or that pretty either. Why does she need to know what Ryan is doing with Bentley it is none of her business just like when Bentley is with Maci it is none of Ryan business . Just as long as Bentley is not seriously injured Maci is really talking out her ass this season. Ryan is still working Maci and Kyle still have no job when Maci was in new York with Kyle who had Bentley his father. When Maci was partying with the jersey shore cast who had Bentley ? so Maci has no room to talk about what Ryan does with Bentley or if Ryan partying. She such a self righteous egomaniac bitter hypocrite it is okay for her to party but Ryan is not allow to party . I’m so sick of Maci trying to attack and bash Ryan for any little reason if Maci was truly happy with Kyle like she said she is she would not need to make Ryan life hell. Or check up on him Maci is not happy with Kyle and it show every little actions she does. Her behavior has nothing to do with what best for Bentley but has everything to do with Maci wanting to hurt Ryan because she is not over him. Maci really needs to get over herself

  Actually it would be Maci’s business to know what her SON was doing with his father. She never once said Ryan wasn’t allowed to party but she was. Apparently someone didn’t read too well. She said Ryan was out partying when he was supposed to be taking care of Bentley. Maci doesn’t go out and party when she is taking care of him. Ryan has him when she goes to do her partying. Ryan should do his partying when Maci has him, not when he is supposed to be having quality time with him.

    Kayla what Ryan didn’t do in bentley first year doesn’t not matter that’s three years old you and maci need to let it go what matter now is that Ryan is being a good father now and he is doing what best for his son now. And maci need to get off her horse high because there plenty of pictures on the Internet of maci partying it up Drink underage at the beach and partying with the cast Jersey shore cast and her loser party girl friends. And maci has no room to judge Ryan because she party just as much as Ryan and maci has no real reason to be concern about bentley with his father has bentley ever came with a black eye bruise dirty no so maci reasoning for going Throught Ryan Facebook page has nothing to do with bentley she just using bentley again like she always does as a excuse to be in Ryan business maci is just a typical bitter little girl who upset that the guy she still hopeless in love with move on to someone better than her. Maci acts as if she doesn’t go out when she has bentley when we all know she does why is it ok for her to go have a fun but Ryan can’t when he has bentley it’s a double standard and maci really needs to get over herself because she really not all that great and it’s about time for someone to put herself in her place tell her the truth about herself which is she a self center ego manic bitter angry ex girlfriend who trying to make her ex boyfriend life he’ll because he doesn’t want her

Week after week I become sickened by Farrah and her inconsiderate, disregarding attitude. Yes her parents are nutty but she invited them along knowing this. Farrah ALWAYS has a chip on her shoulder, everywhere she goes, with everyone. She always has this snid tone in her voice. I can’t stand her. If I wee Michael and Debra I would be happy she is moving away (except for the fact that they can’t see Sophia). I would actually be happy if she decided to not participate in Teen Mom anymore. She is ugly both inside and out.

Maci is really becoming a fine example of a “teen mom”. She moves from one nice home to another, drives decent cars, doesn’t go to school or work, yet everything seem to go peachy for her. Um yeah that is a real great ideal of being a parent. I am sure these girls live off their MTV money but the reality is majority of young teen mothers won’t have this advantage. The producers could at least make these girls lives more believable. How is it that both Maci and Kyle can sit at home doing nothing yet still afford to live?

Amber is another example of living off of MTV checks. She moves every few months yet she has no job to speak of. The least she could do is try and finish high school. She sits at home, alone (meaning Leah is not there, that doesn’t count her loser boyfriend of the time) majority of the time. That would give her plenty of time to complete her education. On last night’s episode it was so childish of her to talk to Gary in front of Clinton on speaker phone no less. Although I am sure this was more scripted drama. She talks to Gary and he amazingly brings up Clinton who then grabs the phone. The whole scene was lame.

  I totally agree with everything you said. Especially regarding Farrah. I can’t stand her. She is so positive that she is right all of the time. The most cringe worthy moment for me this season so far was her father kindly helping her after getting a boob job, and her snapping at him. Farrah is the epitome of a spoiled, selfish brat. I really hope Sophia has outside influences so that she can learn some tact that her mother so clearly lacks.

Maci is being ridiculous but Ryan is not any better. Ryan wasted a year of his child’s life and has some making up to do. Grow up, keep a job (you don’t just QUIT when they ask you to do something that you don’t want). Maci needs to stop being lazy and do her schoolwork. She has the opportunity so she shouldn’t take it for granted. Bentley being gone for half of the week gives her the time to do her schooling, and even when he’s there, Kyle seems to have a good grasp on “babysitting” and can give her some study time.

Farrah is absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes, you have to just realize that that is your mother, you can’t change others but you can change your behaviors and actions. Plenty of people have crazy, psycho moms and still do not talk to them the way she does. If she doesn’t like certain things her mom does or says, she needs to learn how to communicate that in a better manner. God-forbid Sophia grow up talking to Farrah like that. I’m sure Farrah would slap someone if they spoke to her that way. On another note, Michael seems amazing and certainly does not deserve any of that verbal abuse that she hands out to him. It is truly disgusting.

I’m over Amber and Gary. It just gets worse and worse. Do something with your lives, please.

The whole notion that the show, TEEN MOM, is designed to teach young girls the harsh realities of teen pregnancy, has just become a farce with this group of young women. Maci is now the equivalent of a MTV Welfare Mom as she (as some responders so aptly noted) sits around in her nice apartment, drives her nice car, hangs out with her unemployed BF, takes classes and then fails and then wants to be a “stay at home mom” Amber is no better except she makes sure to drop the “F bomb” at every opportunity in front of her child. Farrah is unbearable and a fine example of what happens when parents allow bad and rude behavior to go continually unchecked in young people. Ever notice how Farrah NEVER has any friends around…just her, mom and dad and Sophia. Nobody in their right mind could stand her. The fact that both Maci and Farrah got plastic surgery and we’re supposed to believe this realistically portrays the trials and tribulations of teen parenthool borders on negligence on MTVs behalf. People watch it (I am guilty as charged) but I feel I am watching the fate of civilization crumble before my very eyes that these young women are now in some weird fame world for what I don’t know. OK, done ranting……

  I could not agree more. Everything you stated was spot on. Your observation of Farrah is so true. I noticed and may have mentioned previously how she has no friends, not that this should be a surprise. No one with sense could stand her for a minute. Her parents do seem well meaning but as you stated, are partly to blame for Farrah’s behavior because they have allowed it for so long.

If I would talk to my parents like that, I’d would have regretted it…and There Farrah says :”Let’s go to counseling” Yeah, right. It probably helps, but you should look at yourself and your manners, maybe you’ll realize it’s not only about you!

  You are spot on Sara. If you could be a fly on the wall in that home over the years (yikes..that would be terrifying) I am sure that at no point was Farrah ever held accountable for any of her actions. If you permit bad behavior and let it go unchecked (and I’m not talking about taking your kid to the woodshed) you really are offering your approval of that behavior and saying it is acceptable. I’m no rocket scientist, but I’m pretty sure Farrah has had no real limits ever set on her behavior…now, I’m sure there was lots of loud drama, but never any real action. There is a difference between fighting/yelling and working towards solving a problem. I really am going to swear off TEENMOM and pick something more redeeming to watch in reality TV land…CHOPPED and Project Runway are looking like my only choices! I can tell you as the parent of 3 teens/young adults, not all young people are like this at all and not all (certainly not) all parents would accept this as normal behavior. Last great comment, children learn what they live. When Amber and Farrah see their daughters develop into self absorbed, non-mannered, rude and hurtful young women, they need to look in the mirror and accept ownership of their legacy.

  The funny part about counseling is if you go back to those episodes the counselor got sick of Farrah. She more or less tries to get Farrah to see she’s not the perfect girl on the other side of the looking glass.

Farrah may have an attitude problem & rude or w.e but HEYYY atleast SHE graduated with an associate degree and is planning on going back to school asap for a bachelor degree. She actually has held a job and wants to be independent and raise her child on her own. Maci probably doesn’t even have beyond 20 credits and prefers to sit at home not doing anything but creep on Ryan’s facebook! Amber, oh my i wont even waste my breath since she is an actual waste of human space and a horrible mother.

Maci needs to be realistic lol…It would be unwise to offer a job to Kyle that Ryan wanted. I mean, why would anyone offer a job to someone that they wanted? You would only offer up jobs that you don’t want or need.
