We posted the above photo this weekend featuring Teen Mom Farrah Abraham, her daughter Sophia and a handsome mystery man playing on the beach in Miami. At the time of that post we didn’t know the identity of the young man but thanks to some helpful commenters we think we may have figured it out!
According to numerous sources his name is Mohamed “Mo” Salama, a 6′ 2″, 185-lb soccer player originally from Omaha, Nebraska who played collegiate soccer in Farrah’s hometown of Council Bluffs, Iowa at Iowa Western Community College in 2009.

While still in Omaha, Mo attended Millard West High School where he was named second-team Super State (Nebraska’s all-state team). But Mo doesn’t just have skills on the field, he also has them in the classroom. He earned the President’s Award for Academic Excellence and was named to the Metro Conference Scholar Athlete Honor Roll while attending MWHS.
Mo graduated from Millard West in 2009 and went just across the state line to play for IWCC his freshman year in 2010. Here is his photo from the Reivers’ (that’s the IWCC mascot) media guide:
Mo Salama continued his soccer and academic excellence while at IWCC where he had four goals and four assists as a freshman for the Reivers, helping his team to win the Region XI championship. He also earned the NJCAA Superior Award for Academic Achievement after posting a 3.90 GPA as a freshman.

It appears as though Mo had plans to attend the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs his sophomore year because he has a profile on their athletic site. But, his name has been removed from their 2011 roster (he is there in the cached search results on Google and has since been taken off) so I’m not sure what the story is on that. (If I were a crazy headline-generating tabloid I might suggest he has since changed his mind and moved to Florida to be with Farrah, which is complete unfounded nonsense of course.) (Or is it?!?)
We had one source tell us Mo and Farrah are no longer a couple so this may all be moot speculation. (Splash News did not provide a date which the beach photo was taken, although it had to be relatively recent given that Sophia is looking a little older.)
There have also been suggestions that Farrah dates someone during this season of Teen Mom, so maybe we will get to meet Mo on the small screen in the upcoming weeks! My guess is that this story will be the crack in the damn and we will soon be flooded with all sorts of details – so stay tuned!
