Pastor Joe Nelms owns invocation for NASCAR race

Pastor Joe Nelms NASCAR invocation

Before the NASCAR Nationwide series race in Nashville, TN on July 23 pastor Joe Nelms got the packed house amped with the best pre-race invocation you’ll ever hear. He was thankful for cars, tires, fuel, his smokin’ hot wife and his two children Eli and Emma or as they like to call them the “Little E’s.”

Whenever you drop lines from Talladega Nights you’re on my team. Fire it up pastor!

Here’s the full transcript:

“Heavenly Father, we thank You tonight for all your blessings. You said in all things give thanks so we want to thank You tonight for these mighty machines that You’ve brought before us. Thank You for the Dodges and the Toyotas. Thank You for the Ford’s and most of all we thank You for Roush and Yates partnering to give us the power we see before us tonight. Thank You for GM Performance Technology and the RO7 engines. Thank You for Sunoco Racing fuel and Goodyear tires that bring performance and power to the track. Lord, I want to thank you for my smokin’ hot wife tonight, Lisa. And my two children Eli and Emma, or as we like to call them the little E’s. Lord, I pray and bless the drivers and use them tonight. May they put on a performance worthy of this great track. In Jesus’ name, boogity, boogity, boogity, Amen!”

Man that’s about as good as it gets right there. Here’s a photo of Joe Nelms and his wife Lisa.

Carl Edwards won the race and said after hearing Nelms that if anything happened to him during the race he wanted the pastor to be at his funeral.
