Yeah – I liked Masterson too. I even had him on my fantasy team in the league that counted holds. But Boston has a plethera of great relievers and to get someone like Victor Martinez is just too hard to pass up. LaRoche for Kotchman? I dunno. It’s nice for the Braves to get Adam back after all this time, but otherwise it must have been some sort of “cut their losses” deal for Boston. That being said, Boston didn’t know what was going to happen later and at the time the LaRoche deal seemed like a good one for the team. No doubt a Halladay and LaRoche addition would have been an ideal situation! (Unless you’re a Yankees fan)

Dang.Im gonna miss Justin Masterson.He played for my hometown Portland Sea Dogs,and i was excited when he got the chance to pitch in boston. Now to see him get traded to cleveland sucks. Im going to miss him alot,but we did get a great bat and defensive men. I really dont get the LaRoche trade though, hes headed BACK to atlanta and casey kotchman, really?, LaRoche is far better then him, and hes only been with the team for 4 days or so.
